Connecting Your Personal Laptop (or Other Devices) to the District Wi-Fi

In an effort to secure our network from any potential security threats and computer viruses the District Computer Services Department has set up a special Wi-Fi network specifically for personal laptops and cell phones.  Here are the basics for connecting to our "District-Guest" Wi-Fi network.

  1. On your laptop Wi-Fi settings select the "District-Guest" Wi-Fi network, check the box marked "Connect automatically" and then click the "Connect" button
  2. After a few moments, your web browser should automatically launch to a webpage to register your device.  The page will look like this:

Here you will enter your username and password that you use to login to the school computers or your school email.
NOTE: If this page does not immediately open you can open your web browser yourself and try to go to any website and it should automatically take you to this page.
NOTE-2: Should you see the screen below it is because you previously registered your device using the "Register as a Guest" instead of your normal login and password.  Just click on "Cancel" and you should be taken to the screen shown above to put in your user name and password.
  3. When you click "Login" your screen will immediately change to like the one here:
  4. After a moment the screen will then change to one like this:
  5. From this point forward your laptop will automatically connect to the District-Guest Wi-Fi for 180 days and you will not have to re-register each time you connect.

This process is very similar for registering your mobile phone to the District-Guest Wi-Fi so, you should be able to follow these same steps on your cell phone.
