Set up Printing for Google Chrome & Chromebooks

Print from Chrome

You can print from Chrome using your computer or mobile device. With Google Cloud Print, you can make your printers available to you and anyone you choose.

Set up Google Cloud Print

To set up printing to your home printer or within your school building

  1. Log in to a  Windows computer (i.e. in library or computer lab if at school)
  2. Launch Google Chrome.
    NOTE: If you are not already, sign-in to your school Google Account
  3. At the top right, click on  More then choose Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced.
  5. Under the section labeled "Printing" click Google Cloud Print.
  6. Then click Manage Cloud Print devices.
  7. If prompted, sign in with your Google Account.
  8. Select the printers you want to connect, and then click Add printer(s).

The printer is now associated with your Google Account and connected to Google Cloud Print. You can print to this printer from any device where you're signed in to your Google Account.

Print using Google Cloud Print

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Open the page, image, or file you want to print.
  3. Click File and then Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
    • Windows & Linux: Ctrl + p
    • Mac: ⌘ + p
  4. Optional: To choose a printer, click the down arrow and select from the list. If you don’t see the printer you want, select See More and choose a destination.
  5. Change any print settings you want.
  6. When ready, click Print.

Print from a standard printer

To set up your printer, follow your printer manufacturer's instructions.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Open the page, image, or file you want to print.
  3. Click File and then Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
    • Windows & Linux: Ctrl + p
    • Mac: ⌘ + p
  4. In the window that appears, select the destination and change any print settings you want.
  5. When ready, click Print.
